Beautifully baked bread! The loaves seem to float in your photos. I have gotten a couple of "cheap Chinese lenses" and love them for what they are. I hate discussions of "gear perfection." Great Personality in the photos can be achieved many ways. Perfect gear is not required.

I've always loved adapted gear, repurposed gear etc. One of the challenges of a super large sensor and 100MP is your choices that cover and can resolve that become a lot smaller and maybe you get lazy about it. This isn't the perfect lens by far, but it sure has moved me towards where I want to go.
Congrats on reaching this new place of inspiration. I have felt something similar since moving recently and acquiring a new (used) camera that has unexpectedly helped to freshen things up for me. Beautiful photographs, as always, and I'd devour that sourdough in a heartbeat!
The focus (or lack of it) looks perfect to me, especially with the tones in the photographs. Maybe it’s also my love for the Great Plains with it’s vast open space, but I love these images.

Glad you're loving them and I never noticed about the swearing but I write it how it comes out of my brain. Guess my brain is less cussy this week. haha. Not sure I'd use that as a measure of my mental state as much as the subject matter.

Yes, figuring oneself out, trying to accept who and how we are, and maybe change for the better is exhausting sometimes. But I notice as I am getting older it gets easier to accept my flaws and moods…
